(Download your entry form here.)

The Lakewood Neighborhood Association is holding its fourth Texas Hold ‘Em Charity Poker Tournament to benefit our landscaping and beautification efforts throughout our community. The event will take place on Wednesday, April 16th. Doors open at 6pm, and cards will be in the air by 7pm. All funds raised for this event will be placed directly into our beautification and landscaping efforts.

For a $100 donation, you can obtain a seat to play while seats last. Green felt poker tables and professional dealers will be provided thanks to our casino sponsor, Dead Money Poker. This initial donation will provide you with $3,000 worth of play money chips. An additional re-donation of $50 within the first hour of play will provide another $2,000 of play money chips if you would like to add to your stack.

The final 10 players remaining in the tournament will be eligible to draw from our table of prizes, including a 42" HDTV flatscreen TV. Other prizes (as of this writing) include a customized poker table, 2 free tickets to any future Dallas Symphony concert, a wine tasting for 40 at Tony's Wine Bistro, a fabulous & generous imported beer basket from World Beer Company, and more.

The event will be held a Times Ten Cellars at 6324 Prospect Ave. Non-alcoholic drinks and food will be provided for free. It should be a great location, and a great time to celebrate after income tax return day!!

If you a business owner and looking to promote your business within our community, then you can sponsor a table. For a $300 donation, we will place signage around each chair with your business name and contact information around the table you sponsor, for all players and passers by to see. Additionally, you will be allowed to place literature in our party favor bags we'll pass out to all those in attendance. Finally, you will be mentioned in a full page ad in our Lakewood Life newsletter, which goes out to all of our 3,000 households.

To sponsor a table, or to register to play, please send us a message at Fundrai...@Lakewoodneighborhood.org, or call Rick Salmeron at 214-828-9576. Otherwise, see the official registration form inside this issue of Lakewood Life.

Please join the fun! And help in our mission for a more attractive Lakewood.
